Drew Fuller heeft een interview gehad met website lowcountrytoday.com, hier praatte hij o.a. over de veranderingen in het zesde seizoen van ‘Army Wives’!
Lifetime’s hit television series, ‘Army Wives’ is now full swing into it’s sixth season. The extremely popular cable TV has broached many scenarios during their run, but this year ‘Army Wives’ has seen a number of changes, with new faces popping up and a few cast members exiting the show.
One of the most notable changes this season deals with Drew Fuller. The 31 year old former male model has portrayed staff sergeant Trevor LeBlanc since day one, but this season he is taking on a new role. As is common in the military, Fuller’s character has advanced from the enlisted ranks to that of a junior officer.Fuller welcomes the role reversal. “It’s opened a great new chapter for Trevor. After having seen what the Army is like as an enlisted man he now can see it through the eyes of an officer.” Some of the early 2012 episodes have Trevor dealing with the adjustment, often handling situations as his former self. “The writers are coming up with clever story lines and taking Trevor down a whole different path. It’s been a good transition.”
Another storyline that has played out in season six has been the departure of Brigid Brannagh’s character Pamela Moran, who was the best friend of Roxy (Sally Pressman), Trevor’s wife on the show. Pamela decides to follow her special ops husband to California leaving Roxy distraught. According to Fuller it was time to represent that element on the show.
“It was an one of the most emotional episodes we‘ve done, but one that was overdue. The writers do their best to portray all we do on ‘Army Wives’ as realistic as possible. We’ve maintained our core group for five years. But the reality of the military is that personnel, including their families get transferred. It was time the show dealt with that issue. Tinkering with the dynamics of the show is a good thing.”
