Last week here at KSiteTV, we posted Part 1 of an interview with the new Charmed showrunners Jeffrey Lieber, Nicki Renna, and Joey Falco as we went in-depth into the new season of the CW series\u2026 today, it\u2019s time to share Part 2, as we talk about some other elements, including Kaela\u2019s bus, this season\u2019s villain, and the hopeful possibility of a Charmed Season 5. KSITETV\u2019S CRAIG BYRNE: Can you talk about Kaela\u2019s bus and how that came about in the writers\u2019 room?<\/strong>
\nJEFFREY LIEBER: Anyone can create a bus that\u2019s painted, but it takes a crew to figure out how to make it work. We needed two of them; one that ran, and one that didn\u2019t, and we had to find them all over Canada.<\/p>\nBut again, we wanted to introduce Kaela as different, but the same. She\u2019s not living in the house. She\u2019s not living in, say, Macy\u2019s room. She is occupying her own space with her bus, and that was important to us, because it allowed us to keep the tension between the three of them, which is \u201cat what point does she become fully integrated, if ever? How does she hold on to her own spirit while trying to integrate with them as fighters and protectors? And how does the bus always give us a reminder of Kaela as artist and Kaela as mechanic and Kaela as someone who didn\u2019t grow up in a with a nuclear family\u2026 she\u2019s got such a different past. That bous is always a reminder that she that no matter how much we integrate her, she\u2019s always got a part of herself that is slightly different.
\n<\/p>\nWill we be seeing Kaela\u2019s friend Brynn again?<\/strong>
\nNICKI RENNA: Yeah. Brynn is an integral part of her life. She\u2019s her best friend, and she will always be a part of Kayla\u2019s life and of the show. Once Kaela sort of commits to figuring out this whole crazy change in her life means, and what it means to be a Charmed One and she\u2019s started committing to stay, a lot of her life and her focus is obviously with Mel and Maggie and this new world, but for sure, we definitely keep Brynn alive throughout the season. Her and Kaela have such a wonderful best friendship. While Kaela has to make a decision and a commitment to her new life, we don\u2019t really want to say that female friendship is mutually exclusive or anything. We embrace all the girlfriends you could possibly have.<\/p>\nHow hopeful are you all for Season 5 renewal?<\/strong>
\nJOEY FALCO: We\u2019re obviously hoping, but these sorts of things are outside of our control. At this point, we have no idea. We\u2019re going to have to wait along with everyone else, and hope for good news.<\/p>\nJEFFREY: I\u2019m sure you\u2019re well aware of what\u2019s going on CW. These things are so far above show level at the moment. What we know is that the network is incredibly happy with the show. We\u2019re incredibly happy with the show. We believe with each passing episode, the audience will be incredibly happy with the show. So, this is about stuff that is so far above Charmed or any other show in The CW at the moment. We\u2019re just embracing the fact that that this season has been so much fun, and so much about incorporating what we\u2019ve learned over he first three seasons of the show, and the other stuff is gonna is going to take its time, and it\u2019s going to be about things that are well above magical witches and magical characters.<\/p>\n
NICKI: Personally, we\u2019re holding out hope, because he three of us have had an absolute blast creating this season, and every single person of our cast and crew has just been phenomenal this season, in terms of their performances and the energy they bring, and the spirit, and the camaraderie, and the collaboration, and the work product they\u2019re producing. It\u2019s just been an awesome season. So, personally, I\u2019m a total foolish optimist.<\/p>\n
What can you tease about the Tallyman?<\/strong>
\nJOEY: The Tallyman is going to be a very different sort of villain than we\u2019ve ever seen before. As we\u2019ll discover, he\u2019s not just a demon out for power; the sort of the kind of villain you see on the show before. He\u2019s more of an anarchist, or more of a political villain, who has a very specific goal in mind, and he\u2019s going to make life miserable for the Charmed Ones, and cause them to look inward and ask questions about who they are as women, who they are as heroes, who they are as witches, and I think people will be very surprised to see where that story goes and what the Tallyman is really about.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Hier is deel 2 van Showrunners Jeffery Lieber, Nicki Renna en Joey Falco interview met Ksite.com.
