Studio CBS en producent Warner kondigden woensdag aan dat het seizoen dat in september van start gaat, de laatste reeks van de succesvolle comedyserie zal zijn.<br \/>\nAls The Big Bang Theory stopt, zijn er 279 afleveringen gemaakt. Hiermee is de serie de langstlopende sitcom uit de Amerikaanse televisiegeschiedenis. De laatste aflevering zal in mei 2019 worden uitgezonden. Eerder was er sprake van dat er nog een dertiende seizoen gemaakt zou worden.<\/p>\n<p>De comedy over vier nerdy wetenschappers behoort al jaren tot de best bekeken programma\u2019s op de Amerikaanse televisie. Vooral hoofdrolspeler Jim Parsons (dr. Sheldon Cooper) werd dankzij de serie een grote ster. De zeven hoofdrolspelers verdienen ieder inmiddels 900.000 dollar (omgerekend zo&#8217;n 774.000 euro) per aflevering, een recordbedrag.<\/p>\n<p>Veel grote bekende wetenschappers en filmmakers hadden bijrollen in de serie.
