Though the Brave author recently called the Project Runway All-Stars host \u201ca lie\u201d for her involvement with the Time\u2019s Up movement, Milano tells Us that she doesn\u2019t \u201csee that as the same thing as hate.\u201d She added, \u201cI see that as a beautiful soul that was hurting so badly that she was talking from that hurt. And I understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Milano, 45, added about haters and others who might disagree with her positions: \u201cI try not to let it affect me because I believe so much in what I fight for that I feel like the hate, and maybe this is just me spinning it in my own mind, the hate means that I\u2019m actually doing something right.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo for me, I try not to pay too much attention to it,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt gets hard some days, obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n
As previously reported, McGowan, 44, slammed Milano for her support of the movement \u2014 which aims to help provide legal support for victims of sexual assault, harassment and inequality in the workplace \u2014 during a January interview with Nightline coanchor Juju Chang.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t like her,\u201d McGowan said at the time. The Citizen Rose star continued: \u201cDo you think I don\u2019t know these people? Do the math,\u201d she said, referencing Milano\u2019s husband, David Bugliari, who is a Hollywood agent. \u201cWho\u2019s behind Time\u2019s Up? CAA. Where do they meet? CAA? Who needs good PR? CAA. Who are part of the pimp problem? CAA.\u201d<\/p>\n
Milano responded to McGowan\u2019s comments in a statement to Nightline at the time. \u201cI am and always have been completely supportive of Rose and admire her bravery and speaking out about her experiences,\u201d she said. \u201cMy goal throughout the past few months with both #MeToo and the TimesUp movement has been to use my platform to give others a voice so we can all work together to stamp out sexual harassment and sexual assault.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
