Drew Fuller is samen met o.a. ‘The OC’ actrice Mischa Barton gecast in de nieuwe thriller \u201cCloudland\u201d. Hierin zal Drew een jonge journalist spelen die een onderzoek begint naar een afschuwelijke profetie van een religieuze sekte na de paranormale moord op zijn zus. De productie van de film begin aankomende herfst in L.A.<\/p>\n
Mischa Barton (\u201cThe OC\u201d), Drew Fuller (\u201cArmy Wives\u201d), Katie Parker (\u201cAbsentia\u201d) and \u201cDredd\u201d executive producer Adi Shankar are set to star in \u201cCloudland,\u201d a supernatural thriller coming together under the oversight of \u201cFinal Destination\u201d creator Jeffrey Reddick, TheWrap has learned.<\/p>\n
Reddick created the project and will share story credit with Alex Bram, who will make his feature directorial debut with \u201cCloudland.\u201d Bram also co-wrote the script with Martin Aguilera. Reddick will oversee production.<\/p>\n
Story follows a young journalist (Fuller) who investigates a religious cult\u2019s terrifying prophecy after the paranormal murder of his younger sister (Parker).<\/p>\n
Barton will play Fuller\u2019s editor and love interest, while Shankar (pictured above) will play an intimidating member of the cult.<\/p>\n
While Shankar is best known as an indie producer and film financier, he recently played an unrecognizable role alongside Ryan Reynolds and Anna Kendrick in Marjane Satrapi\u2019s \u201cThe Voices,\u201d which he also produced through his 1984 Privste Defense Contractors banner.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe more we discussed the story, the more I realized that this had such a rich mythology, and strong characters, that we were talking about a franchise that I believe can be just as successful as \u2018Final Destination.\u2019 It\u2019s a riveting, edge-of-your seat ride, and Alex and Martin Aguilera really knocked the script out of the park,\u201d said Reddick.<\/p>\n
VFX company PRPVFX (\u201cEvil Dead\u201d) will bring the script\u2019s surreal elements to life, while Mark Lanza (\u201cIndependence Day\u201d) will handle sound design for \u201cCloudland,\u201d which starts production this fall in Los Angeles.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
